Après le succès du Melbourne International Comedy Festival, le rendez-vous annuel du LOL est de retour à Sydney pour sa 18e édition. Durant un mois, le Sydney Comedy Festival met à l’honneur une ribambelle d’humoristes internationaux et locaux en tous genres qui vous feront pleurer… de rire ! Tout le programme est disponible ici. - Le mercredi 2 et le vendredi 4 mai : Australian World Orchestra
Ne loupez pas le coche ! Cet ensemble exceptionnel se produit une semaine par an seulement et les dates tombent maintenant. Pour (re)découvrir Brahms, Tchaikovsky ou Verdi jouée par la fine fleur des instrumentistes australiens mené par le grande Maestro Riccardo Muti, réservez dès à présent. - Jeudi 5 mai : Concert de Belle & Sebastien à l’Opéra de Sydney
Scottish indie-pop collective return seven years after their last sell-out show. Belle & Sebastian are performing another show at the Opera House’s Concert Hall. The band has recently announced the release of their EP trilogy How to Solve our Human Problems and will be churning out the series of albums over the next three months. This means that this time around there’ll be brand new melodies in the set next to cherished classics like ‘The Boy with the Arab Strap’ and ‘Dogs on a Wheel’. More details and tickets here.
- Jusqu’au 30 juin : Aboriginal heritage tours
Discover the rich Aboriginal heritage of Sydney with an Aboriginal guide in the heart of the city. Located in a spectacular harbourside setting , the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney is one of Sydney’s most treasured and iconic destinations. On the traditional land of the Cadigal people, the land now occupied by the Garden is the site where the modern transformation of the Australian continent began and can be regarded as the ‘first frontier’ between Aboriginal and European societies. Join an experienced Aboriginal guide on a 1.5 hour walking tour of the Garden which highlights the significance of the site to Aboriginal people, as well as the rich heritage and culture of Aboriginal people of the Sydney region. Learn about traditional Aboriginal uses for the Garden’s variety of native trees and plants including medicine, tools and food (bush tucker).
