The Australian Council of Trade Unions are attempting to discuss with the Fair Work Commission to push the annual minimum wage up 5 percent. This is a dramatic increase from last year’s 2.5 percent.
The Fair Work Commission’s annual wage review is the deciding point to increase the minimum wage. They have announced that if successful, the minimum hourly rate could be raised to $21.35 for the annual wage of $42,183.96. It was originally $20.33.
