The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry announces the return of the Air Liquide French-Victorian Wine Show, le Concours des Vins du Victoria
After a seven-year absence, the French-Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FACCI), is pleased to reintroduce its renowned French-Victorian Wine Show, le Concours des Vins du Victoria. This prestigious event is a celebration and tribute to the diversity and excellence of Victorian winemakers and their unique “terroirs”.
Established in 1990, and traditionally sponsored by Air Liquide, the Concours has consistently united two proud wine-producing cultures, French and Australian, in an environment where Victorian terroirs and aromas harmonise with the French palate. The competition is a testament to the strong bond between the French-Australian wine community, celebrating the fusion of two rich winemaking traditions.
Victorian wineries are invited to register their wines until Friday, 6 September in the following categories: Pinot noir, Shiraz, Aromatic Wines & Chardonnay. The medals will be announced early October.
The wines will be evaluated by a distinguished panel of French-Australian wine importers, taste experts, sommeliers, and winemakers, all of whom bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. This year’s judges include:
- Loic Le Calvez, Senior Winemaker at Chandon Australia

- Sophie Carbonneau, National Sales Manager and Senior Buyer at Bibendum Wine Co.

The Concours will culminate in a Gala Dinner at the RACV Club on 7 November 2024, attended by 350 guests.
