Labor set to secure 76th seat for a majority government in the House of Representatives, Peter Dutton elected as next opposition leader

Following a tight three-way contest between Labor, the Greens and the Liberals, Labor candidate Josh Burns is projected to retain the seat of McNamara in the inner-city suburb of Melbourne. The win means Labor is set to secure the 76 seats needed to form a majority in the 151-seat House of Representatives.
