Don’t miss the Gala Event on the 8th September at Forestville RSL! It’s a big opportunity to share memories, meet people and partying in a great bilingual atmosphere.
As you probably know, Killarney Heights Public School offers a unique English – French Bilingual Program which has led to many French speaking parents and parents interested in languages education for their children to move to the area.
“For some, Killarney Heights is a place where they grew up, and now their children attend the same primary school. For others, they decided to come to the school for the diverse cultural experience and French language program. Regardless of the many reasons why they have chosen to attend KHPS, the fact is we have a special community that is hard to find elsewhere”, explains the Principal Vicky Jonhson.
For over a year, several parents from both schools have worked together to mark the occasion, which will take place on Friday, 8 September at 7pm.
“The first floor of the Forestville RSL will be transformed for the evening. There will be ‘Decade Tables’ which will display 50 years of history from the schools and community including photos, magazines, awards and fashion. Special keepsakes have been created and there will be a photo booth to create new memories.”
Of course, it’s a party so there will be live entertainment, dancing and plenty of heavy hors d’Oeuvres”, confirms Julie Fenwick from the Killarney Heights Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) .
